okay, I was thinking our priority's should be 1)deciding on a location 2) figuring out how to advertise and recruit. then we could focus on the rest of the project.

this place looks badass, high up, running water, intact buildings, plenty of construction material lying around, wouldn't be able to make anything out of adobe but we should be able to still grow if we set up gardens.

shelter. talking about inhabiting an abandoned shantytown. you guys ever seen the communites in AZ where they build thermal regulated houses out of old tires aluminum cans and adobe,with attatched greenhouses and water purification sources? we could learn alot from those guys. definatly worth studying

Adobe seems the way to go as far as building materials, easy to make, very strong, insulates, and can be used as motor as well as brick.

we will need a canner and they go for about 80 bucks each...

theres got to be a way to can foods without them

of course we will also need tents and sleeping bags for the initial setup

righteous. not much of an electrician myself.

we shouldn't bother with hydroponics starting out, to much work for the setup and not easy to maintain. that would be a project to look into if our initial setup is successful. not to mention the supplies for it would cost as well as maintenance.
