Goldman brought up that he would like a feature added where the post box on the site is not originally visible. This feature will slowly show up across the boards as people start posting in them and regenerating the HTML for each board page. It is believed that this feature will allow people to see a little more of the page if they are just browsing and don't plan on posting. I am truly indifferent on this enhancement. I see where this enhancement could be a godsend to some and a source of complete hatred for others. Since many of you are such dedicated readers of our blog I assume you know that the layout has been updated. I felt like I should go ahead and mention it anyway, for those few of you who don't care what Zach or I have to say. I figure that many of my future posts will most likely be on the avenue of technology. Now that I am in industry I am finding how software development theory is applied in the real world to be very interesting. It is kind of cool to see all those things I learned in school fall apart so fast when put into a real life application. Some of them hold up, but what fun is that, reporting when something goes exactly as planed.

Congratulations to Goldman for finding the admin posting section. Really it wasn't that impressive of a feat since the name wasn't all that original to begin with. The section has been taken down and your "FIRST!" status has been lost with it. I hope that you enjoyed your momentary spot in the lolz and the history books.

It never gets much activity anyway but I have reopened /h/. If the spam starts getting out of control again though the entire section will be coming down. It isn't worth trying to moderate a board with such little activity.

I've always known that captcha was hacked but I figured it would slow them down at least a little bit. As a last measure /h/ is now completely locked down. No new posts can be made there for the time being. I will let this hold for a week or two and then release the lock and see if anything changes. If not I will probably just remove /h/ all together.
While I don't like removing boards I hate harboring child pornography bots even more. Getting shut down is not worth the risk of me attempting to monitor all the time and possibly miss one.

I am getting royally fed up with deleting child pornography from the hentai section of the site. I have enabled captcha on /h/ only because if this. They have been using different sites to shorten the URL and some of them are pretty common so I don't feel like blocking them and possibly blocking a real post. This is hopefully temporary and hopefully will only exist in /h/.
It is my intent to get rid of /h/ anyway but I have no idea of what to replace it with. If there are any suggestions put them in /r/. I guess I could remove it all together but I hate having so few boards and having absolutely everything crammed into /b/.

Another year, another success. That's right, for those of you who were not there, the Second Annual Rollchan BBQ rocked just as many balls as the first one, if not more.
