I remember a couple of questions from it. Keep in mind this is from over a year ago and entirely from memory, so don't quote me.
There was a question asking which type of system is closest to a 4-way stop at an intersection. A stack, a queue, a priority queue, or a leaky bucket.
There was a question about a leaky bucket system where she gave you some parameters and you had to do a calculation.
There was something about multiplexing...
There was a question about the efficiency of ALOHA (I think)
I can't remember much else about it. I think I flunked it.

I'm looking for a counselor to talk with about some of my (awesome) problems. Anybody have anything to say? Complaints about a certain councelor? Watch my back?
I've never been. Personally I've never felt talking to a stranger about private problems to be very inviting.
I went once as required by the school for test anxiety. Honestly, if you are going to talk to someone then go to someone who is a professional and not working for the school. The whole time I was there I kind of got the feeling they were just trying to get me out of their office so they could get back to what they were doing before, which from what I could tell was jack shit nothing. They for the most part were unprofessional and I even had a couple of them tell me that they didn't believe me and that I was lying. Hope that helps, although probably negatively.
I actually haven't had a problem with the counseling center. I suppose it depends on who you get--I had someone who actually cared about the job, and was actually able to offer some helpful advice. That said, it also depends on how comfortable you are talking to them--they won't talk about something you don't want to. Maybe worth making an appointment if you need to, and see how it goes: hell, you paid for it.

all i have to say is:
what a fucking disappointment. this semester's fair was piss. it seems like everyone that was looking for full time last semester or the year before is now only looking for internships/co-ops and vice-versa. some companies had majors listed but weren't really hiring, and it seemed like most of the people i talked to had no fucking clue what they were there for. i know the economy sucks, but the company turnout was a tragedy. i felt the need to bitch
Yeah, am I the only person who went back to print more resumes and said "better make a bunch this time, I still haven't gone downstairs!" only to realize that there WAS NO DOWNSTAIRS!! Where is everyone?!

Generally on the street around campus is where people go, just don't expect to be too close to campus.
going through older posts and I saw that someone said a Comp Sci makes a bad roomie? Why?
Being a Comp Sci I take half offense to this, but not entirely, because I do know the people who surround me in my major. Really I would say half of us are not that bad but there is the possibility you will get one that showers rarely and just stays in his room.
I guess the only problem you would find across the board living with one is that you may get sick of hearing someone yelling at their code. You may be in for hearing more "what the fuck"s than you have ever heard in your life.
