I'm not really much for drinking, but the one time I did participate in making drinks we had UV Bombs or something like that:

    1 part UV Blue
    3 parts lemonade

    It tasted amazing.

I haven't had anything I've liked (despite trying a new drink twice a week for almost 4 months), but one day I intend to have a long island iced tea:

    1 part vodka
    1 part tequila
    1 part rum
    1 part gin
    1 part triple sec
1 1/2 parts sweet and sour mix
    1 splash Coca-Cola

Any suggestions for where to get one? Buying all that liquor would be expensive...

Pretty much every restaurant that sells alcohol has long island iced tea.

just about everywhere makes long island iced teas really weak. Try to find someone to combine forces with to make them right. I know some bars water them down with club soda.

(my mom and sister picked it up for me in the dollar bin at Target)
    >> No. 298
    chilled glass
dried ice, normal ice using filtered water that have been wrapped in a towel to remove excess moisture

2 cubes, more if cubes are small

slowly poor Glenlivet over the ice. (really any single malt scotch in the $40-60 price range will do)

    sip, enjoy.

Go to the Grotto and order a long island... or better yet, get a Baltimore Zoo. It's essentially a long island, but it goes down like red cool aid.

A Baltimore Zoo is like the best cough syrup that ever got you drunk.
    >> No. 306
    Baltimore Zoo:?
    1/2 oz Rum
    1/2 oz Vodka
    1/2 oz Gin
    1 Splash Sprite
    1 Splash Grenadine
    Lemon Squeeze
    1 Shot Beer

    or:?
    1 shot vodka
    1 shot light rum
    1 shot gin
    1 shot triple sec
1 shot Southern Comfort® peach liqueur
    1 shot amaretto almond liqueur
    1 shot grenadine syrup
1 dash sweet and sour mix
    1 splash beer

Any idea what the Grotto uses in their long islands or baltimore zoos?
One of these recipes is 7 shots, so that could be a bit of a drink. The other is about half that size. How big are these things around town?

Look at me! I'm from Rolla! I'm researching my drinks before I go have them! It's SCIENCE!

These are the same drinks.. just one uses liqueur over soda.. Bars probably make it the first way, while the proper way is the latter.. also the first drink is tiny, while the second will fill a highball.

It's hard to say what brand of liquor the bars use, probably bottom shelf stuff.
